Q: What is the difference between traditional gas/diesel heating and electric infrared heating?
A: For infrared heating, IR rays emitted by short wave infrared lamps can penetrate various paint product layers applied onto the surface, reaching and directly heating the lower support. It effectively allows the paint material to dry from the inside to the outside, ensuring an optimal and complete evaporation of the volatile components and an unmatched curing of the surface.
Infrared heating suits less than 3 panels repair which can expedite the curing process for smart repair.
For traditional diesel/gas heating, it heats the air and, the hot air dries the paint material from the outside to the inside. The hot air flows across the vehicle and creates protective seals around it. The paints can be dried more evenly.
The traditional diesel and gas heating not only suits both less than 3 panels repair and more than 3 panels repair.
Please decide which type of heating system you choose for your spray booth depending on the local power supply, the actual application, the lowest ambient temperature etc.
If the temperature is below 0ºC in winter, we do not recommend electric infrared lamps. This is because if the booth is with infrared heating only, it cannot achieve the function of heating spraying when it is very cold.
Q: There is electric infrared lamps inside the booth. How to ensure the safety when there is painting inside?
A: You can see that the infrared fixtures are with doors. In the painting phase, the doors keep closed. When the doors are closed, the infrared lamps cannot work. This is to keep the overspray away from the infrared lamps and ensure safety.
Q: How long is the service time of the infrared lamps?
A: The service time of the infrared lamps can last as long as 5,000 hours.
Q: Do the infrared heating units come with slow start function?
A: Yes. In order to lessen the impact on the power, the infrared units come with slow start function. Also there is silicone rectifier for adjusting power during the application so the brightness of the infrared lamps can be adjusted depending on actual needs.
Q: How long is the warranty?
A: 2 years after the spray booth is accepted. The warranty is for main components, it does not include the comsumables.
